Podcast
The German Music Council's podcast "Together for Music" addresses musically and socially relevant topics. Where should contemporary funding structures start? What does diversity in music look like and how can it be made visible? The structure and working methods of the German Music Council, artistic priorities and the specific musical work of the individual projects will also be discussed. The team of presenters consists of experts from the music scene. You can find all jazz-related podcasts here:

"Somewhere in the world... there's a little bit of happiness." A chanson that is almost a century old - and yet: the line is still touching today. Why? Here we go on a journey through sounds, history and the questions that remain. In its current programme, Bujazzo deals with music from the compensation files of persecuted musicians under National Socialism. What motivates young musicians in the year 2025 to dedicate themselves to this topic and start right here?

Sport and music make encounters possible. Be it in training, at camps, rehearsals or games: Both areas not only teach practical skills, but also promote communication, a shared understanding of values and social and emotional skills. Sport and music show how people can come together regardless of their background or perspective and create something great together. A current example of the combination of sport and music is the Euro 24 Tour of the Bundesjazzorchester.
Episode 5: Music promotion in jazz. A conversation with Thomas Bosch (BMBFSFJ) and Michael Langkamp (HfMT Hamburg)

How can we awaken the talent that lies within every child? What can support for young musicians look like? What experiences do young jazz musicians have, for example in the national jazz orchestra? What do they take with them for their future careers as musicians? In December, the Bundesjazzorchester performed together with the Bundesjugendorchester and the Bundesjugendchor at the UEFA EURO 2024 final draw at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. To mark this special event, Sarah Seidel met Thomas Bosch from the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) and jazz trumpeter and cultural manager Michael Langkamp.
